Youstina is a 2nd-year veterinary student at the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC).

She supports qualitative and quantitative research and reporting and assists with campus policy development at the Sustainability Office. Alongside Sarah Kurtz, she conducted a Zero-Waste assessment of campus operations through the non-profit PLAN's Atlas program. She is currently developing the data into actionable goals with campus stakeholders. 

Youstina brings a wide variety of skills in communication, leadership, and partnership building from her previous roles in non-profit, government, and student organizations. She has worked for organizations such as One Health Lessons and Environment and Climate Change Canada. 

Youstina is the founder and current president of the CSA-Accredited club Green Labs Guelph, which provides students with the space to develop and execute projects related to addressing lab sustainability. She is a One Health Lessons Ambassador, where she volunteers to teach lessons to inspire students to value the connection between environmental, animal, and human health.
