This year’s Symposium will be about current research and clinical management of neurological disorders, with a focus on Parkinson’s disease. University of Guelph researchers Dr. Philip Millar and Dr. Lori Ann Vallis will be speaking about their current research, including their collaborative Parkinson's study, and concussion and traumatic brain injury rehabilitation. Physiotherapist Karla Andrews will be discussing her work with patients for management of neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s and stroke. PhD candidate, Emily McIntosh, will be telling her story which led her to become an advocate for patient’s rights. We also have a special guest, Quentin Lowe, who will be sharing his story being diagnosed with early on-set Parkinson’s and his work in the community.
