The human heart is a magnificent pump, working non-stop every day of our life, even as we sleep. While heart disease has reached the level of a global pandemic, physicians still struggle to effectively manage this disease. Dr. Simpson from the Department of Human Health and Nutritional Sciences joins us to talk about how they are working towards understanding heart failure and uncovering new ways to treat and manage this disease.

SPEAKER: Dr. Jeremy Simpson, Associate Professor, Department of Human Health and Nutritional Sciences

Dr. Simpson and his research team are helping to unravel the mysteries of how heart failure develops and developing new therapeutic treatment strategies for this disease.
