Guelph Bug Day is organized and run by graduate students to celebrate insects in the natural and human world. This one-day event is targeted at families and students but attracts a diverse community of insect enthusiasts. It aims to instil a love, curiosity, and appreciation for insects through a variety of activities, including guided insect hikes, aquatic insect pools, insect-themed craft tables, information and display booths, live insect zoos, and other insect-themed events and workshops. Guelph Bug Day provides hands-on experiential learning and helps people develop skills in insect collection and identification.

- Kids Hike: 11 a.m. - 12 p.m., 3p.m. - 4 p.m.
- Pollinator Hike: 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.
- Forest Hike: 2 p.m. - 3 p.m.
- Pinning Workshop: 11 a.m. - 12 p.m., 3 p.m. - 4 p.m.
- Honey Bee Research Centre Tour: 10:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m., 2 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.
