The Digital Accessibility Resource Centre provides training, tools, and support for the creation of accessible digital content, including:
- web content
- PDFs/Word documents
- presentation slides/PowerPoint decks
- video
- audio
- other multimedia
This service aims to help U of G digital content producers understand and comply with the U of G policies when creating online materials, to ensure they are in line with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
The Digital Accessibility Support Centre:
- Documents/communicates U of G decisions and policies regarding AODA web/digital compliance strategies
- Provides ongoing education, tools, training, and support for content producers and website administrators, including:
- training sessions
- email and in-person consultations
- SiteImprove access
- Conducts several yearly, random AODA compliance audits for U of G websites and communicates results to website owners.
This service is centrally funded and there is no cost to users.
