About ResNet

ResNet is the residence internet service provided by Computing and Communications Services (CCS).  ResNet network access is available in most residences.

PLEASE NOTE: The use of personal wireless routers in residences is PROHIBITED as they interfere with the signal of the University provided access points.

Wireless printers MUST be connected via a hard wire connection to your laptop or computer.

For devices like gaming consoles and smart TV's, please see our Unsupported Devices web page for more information about connecting to the network.

There’s a lot of information on wired and wireless connections at the university. Your residence room provides you with wired and wireless connectivity to U of G’s network. Depending on your room, either data jacks on the wall or an access point can be used to connect devices that require a physical connection. Please visit our Getting Connected page for more information on using a wired connection.

If you have an access point in your room, you will find 5 ports at the bottom. Please be aware that only ports LAN2 and LAN3 can be used to connect to ResNet. All other ports are for administrative purposes only and will not connect your device to the network.
