MSc by coursework project: How hot is too hot for polar bears?

Emily is a MSc Coursework student working in Dr. Laura Graham’s lab.  Her research project is part of a large research project investigating thermoregulation in polar bears to help answer the question ‘How hot is too hot for polar bears?’.  She will be measuring stress hormones in feces collected year round from twenty four polar bears housed in twelve zoos in North America and relating them to ambient temperatures and humidity.  As a side project she will be doing behavioural data analyses associated with this project.
