You can help to improve animal welfare via your generosity, by making a donation to The Campbell Centre. You may choose to direct your funds to a specific initiative, such as:
CCSAW Student Travel Grants - Annually, grant winners receive up to $1500, to be used to offset or cover the costs for travel to conferences, workshops or short courses. Students may be attending to present their research findings or to enhance their educational program or professional development related to animal welfare.
Keynote speakers at CCSAW events - CCSAW often hosts high calibre animal welfare experts from around the world. Funds directed here go to directly support thier travel and accomodations.
Travel to Animal Welfare Judging Competition - Each year, teams of undergraduate, graduate and DVM students travel to the annual Intercollegiate Animal Welfare Judging/Assessment Contest. Here they practice critical welfare assessment while strengthening student vocabulary and reasoning skills. The competition teaches students to assess the welfare of animals in a variety of settings using science-based methods and reasoning. Students are given the opportunity to weigh evidence and present sound evaluations. This contest ensures that tomorrow's leaders in the animal industries develop strong communication skills and acquire enhanced knowledge of animal welfare.
CCSAW Research - We periodically hold grant competitions in which CCSAW Associated Faculty are awarded grants to conduct animal welfare related research. Funds support the researcher by helping to cover thier operating costs such as animal care, facility costs, equipment, materials and supplies, and research-related travel.
