Note that all class visits to U of G are currently suspended due to COVID-19. We continued to offer some engaging outreach initiatives for teachers and students virtually. Please check the below for updates:

Bring your class to the University of Guelph

It's one thing to watch a video or see a demo– it's an entirely different experience for your grade school class to fully immerse themselves in a scientific lab or other environment. Teachers, arrange to bring your students to campus during the school year so they can experience an authentic scientific experience and learn about applied and traditional sciences. If you want to visit the labs, the best days will be at the end of December and April when no undergraduate labs are scheduled. Below are a few special days designed for teachers to bring their students:   

Guelph Science Olympics

Teacher sign up their high school students to compete in science challenges
Date: Annually in May 
Over 1,000 student competitors


Class visits

Teachers arrange to bring their classes for tours, labs and activities 
Date: Throughout the school year
Chemistry, Physics and Biology options. These visits are arranged through Let's Talk Science Guelph


SuperMath Day

Teachers bring their students in for Math lectures and fun
Date: Tuesday after Thanksgiving, annually
Organized by Department of Mathematical Science
