Ontario/India (OIN) Exchange Program

The Ontario/India (OIN) Student Exchange Program organizes exchanges between 14 Ontario universities, including the University of Guelph, and 13 universities in India.  Through the OIN exchange program, University of Guelph students can go on exchange for one or two semesters to one of the participating universities in Dehli, Goa, Mumbi, Pondicherry or Pune, India. Students from most fields of study can apply for the OIN Exchange. Students do not need an additional language to participate in the OIN Exchange.

Information on the OIN program and the partner universities in India can be found on the OIN website.  Please note that besides the exchange program, the OIN also offers several 4-week summer Study India Program and a Summer Research Program. 

OIN Scholarships

*Scholarships are under review and may not be continued if the funding to these programs is cut. Updates will be posted once we are informed. 

Selected participants who are Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents will receive a scholarship from the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities of $2500 for one semester of study or $3500 for two semesters of study.  (International students can participate in the OIN exchange but are not eligible for the OIN scholarship).

Applying for the OIN Program

To apply for the OIN Exchange, students must submit both the University of Guelph's online study abroad application and the provincial paper application. Please ensure that you have completed all the requested information on the application form and attached any required supporting documents.

The OIN paper application (http://oin.ouinternational.ca/apply)must be submitted to the Centre for International Programs, University Centre, Level 3, University of Guelph by January 17, 2020.  The online U of G study abroad application is due by January 24, 2020.
