The School of Computer Science is proud to launch the 2015 crowdfunding campaigns for the Roboticon and Farm To Fork projects - part of the Guelph Gives campaign, and Giving Tuesday.

Roboticon is a yearly event that sees the SoCS welcome high school students from across Ontario to take part in a robotics competition. The competition requires students to apply their knowledge in mathematics, coding, and engineering while designing robots that will solve a series of challenges. Funds raised for this program will allow the SoCS to purchase more robots, and to bring more students to campus to take part in this free event. To contribute to Roboticon, click here.

Farm To Fork is a website designed in the CIS3750 classroom. The goal of the project is to connect donors to the needs of the emergency food providers (e.g. food banks, soup kitchens, etc.) so that donors know exactly what is needed, and when it is needed. Ultimately, Farm To Fork seeks to improve the quality and quantity of food donated to the emergency food system, because everybody deserves access to healthy food. Funds raised through this campaign will support students who continue to develop the Farm To Fork project, as well as other food insecurity related projects (e.g. the Garden Fresh Box program, and Meal Exchange's Trick Or Eat campaign). To contribute to Farm To Fork, click here.
