Assistant Professor Daniel Gillis was interviewed on by Ag Innovation Ontario, a project of the Agri-Technology Commercialization Centre, about his role in food systems innovation and reducing food insecurity in the Guelph community.

Gillis has challenged his students to radically change the way we think about food insecurity in our communities and work together on improving the quality and quantity of food available to those who need it most. “We brought the problem of how to connect potential donors with emergency food providers to the students and it’s been a huge learning experience for them,” says Gillis.
