Hi my name is Arnab Sagar. I am a second year computer science student. What made you choose U of G (University of Guelph) when you decided to come here? The reasons why I chose the University of Guelph were the co-op programs. I believe that the co-op program would give me great opportunities in the field that I am in. The second would be the student community. I believe that Guelph has a great student body that I'm really proud to be a part of. The most interesting (and best) part about computer science at Guelph is the student club - that is SOCIS. It is the Society of Computing and Information Sciences. it has allowed me to like attend so many workshops and learn technical skills, which has given me an opportunity to apply those skills rather than just being in a classroom. Do you have any advice for students still deciding on their school? Yes! My advice to students who are still deciding on their school would be to attend the online workshops and virtual tours that the universities have invested their resources in, because I feel like that's a great place to get a lot of important information.
