Q: Do I still graduate even though there is no convocation ceremony?
Students who have applied to graduate and successfully met their degree requirements will be approved by Senate to graduate from their program. Students who have been approved to graduate will receive a confirmation email from the Office of Registrarial Services after the clearance to graduate deadline. A new clearance to graduate date is being determined and will be posted here when confirmed.
Q: Will I be able to attend a future ceremony?
Both Winter 2020 and Summer 2020 graduates are eligible to attend a future ceremony. When new ceremony dates have been set an email will be sent to your University of Guelph email address with details on how to register for a ceremony.
Q: Will I still get my degree parchment if there is no convocation ceremony?
All students approved to graduate will receive their degree parchment at the mailing address on file. Winter 2020 graduates should have received their degree parchments in early March 2020. Summer 2020 graduates can expect their parchments to be sent in June 2020.
Q: I graduated in Winter 2020, can I attend a ceremony?
Yes. Winter 2020 graduates may attend a future convocation ceremony. Both Summer and Winter 2020 graduates will be advised of ceremony options as the information becomes available. Please monitor this page for updates.

Q: Why did I not receive my degree/diploma parchment?
Graduands who are on sanction for outstanding payments will not receive their parchment until their account is paid in full. Once you have cleared your outstanding sanction please contact Enrolment Services requesting that your diploma be released to you. Undergraduate students: firstname.lastname@example.org, Graduate students: email@example.com.
