If you have concerns about the development, well-being, or adjustment of a young person, we can help.
We provide assessments and therapy for children, adolescents and their families.
People refer themselves or their children for psychological assessment when there are concerns about; poor academic progress; attention and behaviour; difficulty, feelings of distress, sadness, anxiety, fearfulness, low motivation, poor self-esteem, difficulty with friendships or specific queries about developmental or mental health problems.
Most psychotherapy or treatment involves an initial interview (called intake interview) with the therapist, to discuss the nature of your concerns, arrive at an understanding of the cause of the difficulties, and create a plan for addressing them. Sessions are based on the plan, and the frequency will vary as determined in the intake interview.
