I am a resourceful and results-driven lab manager with 7 years of experience in a research lab environment. My philosophy of work is “I’m here to help” and I’m always happy to share my skills and knowledge. I have a successful track record of developing best lab practices that facilitate more efficient processes.
My educational background includes Masters Degrees from Donetsk state University (Biochemistry) and University of Guelph (Zoology).
Currently I am working on a project on detection of culturable toluene-degrading microorganisms in soil and groundwater Samples. Detection of bacteria responsible for degradation can serve a dual purpose, as both bio indicators and bioremediations. A few techniques routinely used for my work projects include PCR, qPCR, DGGE and DD PCR.
