Ron joined the Department of Sociology & Anthropology at the University of Guelph in 2003. Prior to this he worked as a college professor, police officer, probation and parole officer, and human rights officer. His research interests focus on:
1) The relationship between Stage 5 moral reasoning and the development of human rights e.g. the abolition of capital punishment.
2) Contact Theory and social prejudice among university students.
3) The Evolution of Police Forms and Structure.
