Engineering Computer Loan Program
The School of Engineering is making a limited number of computers available to be loaned to undergraduate students for the fall semeser. The computers were formerly engineering lab computers and come pre-loaded with software such as MATLAB, Solidworks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and other engineering software packages. Please note that not all software can be installed on the workstations and you still may be required to acces some software remotely.
Please note that the loaner comptuers do not have webcams, microphones or speakers. Students will need to provide these if they wish to use the comptuer to attend course videoconference activities.
This program is intended for students who do not have an adequate computer or internet connection to complete their required coursework. Students must be able to attend the campus to pick up the loaner computer. Computers cannot be shipped to students.
We ask that students apply for a computer loan after they have tested using the Engineering Remote Lab to access their required software and determined that it is not adequate. You can find more information about what software is required for your courses and self-install options on the Engineering Software Catalog.
Each loan application will be assessed by the Engineering IT team to determine eligibility and priority. If you are selected to receive a loan, you can expect an email within 3-5 business days to arrange pickup.
