Location:

This workshop will be presented virtually via MS Teams.

The Professional and Career Development Record [1] (PCDR) is a tool built into Experience Guelph that launched in November 2021. The PCDR formally recognizes a student’s involvement in on- and off- campus professional and career development activities, most notably experiential learning.

By the end of this workshop participants will be able to:

  • Explain the purpose of the PCDR.
  • List three benefits of the PCDR.
  • Summarize the critical components of a validated PCDR experience.
  • Use the Experience Guelph catalogue to search for validated PCDR opportunities.
  • Locate relevant resources on the EL website.

Experiential Learning at the University of Guelph

Experiential learning is a core part of what we do at the University of Guelph. We believe that students benefit from engaging directly in workplaces and communities where they can apply their learning in real contexts. Our course-based and co-curricular opportunities are designed to develop transferable skills, expand awareness of work and community issues, and promote collaboration between peers, faculty, and external partners.
