Academic Background: Jordan Hardy is currently doing her M.S. in the Department of Family Relations and Applied Nutrition at the University of Guelph. Prior to the University of Guelph, she received her B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from Trent University and her Addictions and Mental Health Counselling Certificate from Durham College.
Research Area: Katherine is currently working with Dr. Janis Randall-Simpson and Dr. Heather Keller to study the use of malnutrition screening tools among Family Health Teams (FHT) and Community Health Centres (CHC) across Ontario. The data collected will help guide the direction of the future implementation screening tools within Ontario FHTs and CHCs.
Airu Li is a MSc candidate in the Applied Human Nutrition program at the University of Guelph. She completed her BASc degree in Applied Human Nutrition and a certificate in Food Science at the University of Guelph as well.

Research Area – Jess is currently working with Kim Wilson to better understand LGBTQ+ identifying older adults’ experiences of aging in Ontario, Canada. More particularly, the barriers and facilitators that impact an individual’s ability to access social services in Ontario.
Academic background-Curtis Holmes is MSC Candidate in the Family Relations and Human Development Program at the University of Guelph. He recently graduated from the University of Guelph’s Bachelor of Applied Science Adult Development program and also received a Minor of Arts in Political Science. Previously, Curtis also completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree specializing in Hospitality and Tourism and Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology.
Research Area – Kristina Virro takes a special interest in the overlap between mental and physical health, particularly the effects of nutrition and exercise on mental health disorders.
Background– Judy T. Lui is M.Sc. Couples and Family Therapy candidate in the FRAN department at the University of Guelph, Canada. She completed her BaH at the University of Waterloo with a major in Psychology and a double minor in Sociology and SMF (Sexuality, Marriage and Family Studies).
Academic Background: Valerie is a MSc student in the Applied Human Nutrition program at the University of Guelph, working with the Guelph Family Health Study. She completed her BSc degree in Biomedical Sciences at Guelph as well.
