The Canada Graduate Scholarships-Master’s (CGS M) Program aims develop research skills and assist in the training of highly qualified personnel by supporting students who demonstrate a high standard of achievement in undergraduate and early graduate studies. Dr. Zahoor ul Haq, who received his doctorate from FARE in 2008, has recently been awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Medal of Excellence) by the Pakistani government for his service in higher education. The Tamgha-e-Imtiaz is a state-organised honour given to select civilians based on their achievements. Zahoor is currently Vice Chancellor of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Pakistan.
