FARE Graduate Student receives McRorie Scholarship

Nathaniel Whittingham, a second year M.Sc. student in FARE, is one of two recipients of this year’s Agricultural Institute of Canada Foundation (AICF) Douglas McRorie Memorial Scholarships. Recipients are recognized for their academic achievements, areas of study, leadership and career interests. The scholarships, which are made available through the support of the RBC Foundation, were established in 1990 to honour AICF past-president and agri‑finance leader Douglas McRorie, a former vice-president of the Royal Bank of Canada.

Nathan's research focuses on social media communication related to biotechnology. He has an undergraduate degree in Food and Agricultural Business from FARE, and was recently featured on video profiling graduate students in the department: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INZixH-m8RM
