Powdered inner cortex rubbed on the hands and face to protect them from the cold during the winter. Infusion of roots and inner cortex given to babies as an enema for constipation(*11). Infusion of bark applied as poultice for pain anywhere in the body. Compound infusion of roots taken for kidneys or for male urination problems. Poultice of smashed roots applied to swollen knees (*8)(3). |
