Suitability of Forest Fire Extents
Proximity to forest fire extents indicates that forest fire extents have a spread-out distribution, with high fire densities in the north-east region of New Brunswick (Figure 3). Moose habitats are regarded as more suitable the closer it is located to a previous forest fire extent due to the abundance of new vegetation.
