The study area is bounded by the limits of the current GO rail corridors that are in operation. The corridors span the entirety of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area, spreading out into the Golden Horseshoe, from Kitchener to Oshawa to Barrie (Fig 1.). Toronto has the largest population and therefore the highest density of stations and census tracts with large census tracts created between the major cities in the less populated rural areas. The wait times between stations are 15 minutes for the stations around Toronto and increases to 25-30 minutes as you move away, which reflects the population density of those areas.
