The University of Guelph was well represented at the 2018 Annual Canadian Agri-Food Policy Conference, where three University of Guelph graduate students placed in the top three for the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) Agricultural Policy Briefing Note contest.
Sweeping the competition was Kate Jones (MSc FARE) placing first; Lisa Wong (MSc FARE) placing second; and Brianne Chan (MSc FARE) placing third.
Congratulations Rachana Devkota, PhD student in the School of Environmental Design and Rural Development (SEDRD), on winning a prestigious award from Canada's premier global development research agency: the International Development Research Centre (IDRC). The David and Ruth Hopper and Ramesh and Pilar Bhatia Canada Fellowship Recipient is awarded to the top female candidate from among the IDRC Doctoral Research Awardees for 2017.

Mackenzie King Open & Travelling Scholarships - Application Deadline: February 1, 2018
There are two types of Mackenzie King Scholarships: the "Open" Scholarship and the "Travelling" Scholarship. Both were established to support graduates of Canadian universities who are pursuing graduate studies.
University of Guelph is a member of Network of Networks (N2). Through this membership, the University of Guelph has gained free access to the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI), an online education program.
Select CITI Canada courses are available free of charge to all members of the University community with a valid University of Guelph email account, including faculty, students and staff. Course completion is documented by a completion certificate.
Please note that the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies will be closed December 22 at 2:00pm until January 2, 2018. The office will reopen with regular hours on January 2, 2018.
For applicants: We understand that you may want to use the holiday break to begin the graduate application process. If you submit your application through OUAC before December 18th, 2017 you can expect to receive your WebAdvisor login credentials before office closure (these credentials are required in order to begin uploading your application documents on WebAdvisor).
