My specialization is Applied Animal Behaviour and Welfare of Farm Animals. My research and teaching focus on how various housing and management practices affect the behavioural biology and welfare of farm animals. My students engage in fundamental research exploring underlying developmental and physiological mechanisms of behaviour, while our more applied projects address practical approaches to solving behaviour problems and improving welfare on farms.
