Why I chose Guelph...

I completed my undergrad degree at the University of Guelph and really enjoyed the school and the city. Once I completed my BSc I was hired on as a research assistant for the summer for my now advisor. It was during that summer that I learned about the work my advisor does and decided that was what I wanted to do.

How will my work Improve Life?

My research focuses on using environmental parameters to reduce the amount of nurseries water. This is important as we are going to face a global water crisis due to climate change, so being able to reduce the amount of water nurseries use will be vital if this industry is to remain viable. I have the opportunity to work with nursery owners and workers through my work and demonstrate to them how they can reduce their water usage.

My future plans...

I plan to go into the workforce. I believe I have gained many skills throughout my time at UofG that will help me start a career.
