It is within this unique and exciting context that the University is seeking an outstanding financial leader as the next Associate Vice-President (AVP), Finance.

Reporting directly to the Vice-President, (Finance, Administration & Risk), the AVP, Finance is responsible for managing the University’s core business processes of: treasury and investment operations, controllership, procurement and payment services as well as specific financial services in support of researchers. Working collaboratively with all colleges and divisions, the AVP provides sound financial operational support to these partners to ensure consistency across the University. Leading a collegial team of finance professionals, the AVP is an inspirational leader who creates an environment that fosters creativity and innovation.

The ideal candidate for this role is a strategic decision maker with a track record of success in a senior leadership role in a complex public sector organization. The new AVP has effectively lead organizational change, has experience as the spokesperson for finance to both internal and external audiences and has led concurrent complex and dynamic finance projects.
