Details

First meeting of the semester!

Everybody is welcome, and we have something both for R beginners and experienced R users.

Today, we will work on the chapter of data input in the R for Data Science book (a good starting point for R beginners). In addition, we as a group will work through Brian McGill's example on how to structure data for ecological data analysis: https://dynamicecology.wordpress.com/2016/08/23/sample-r-code-for-yesterdays-10-commandments-post/

The background for this analysis is this blog post: https://dynamicecology.wordpress.com/2016/08/22/ten-commandments-for-good-data-management/, and hopefully doing this together will provide us some insights in how other people organize their data and analyses in R.

You can also use the time to work on your own R code, and ask the group help for any issues you might have.
