International Journal of Plant Sciences selects Dr. Chris Caruso as the next Editor-in-Chief

We are pleased to announce that Christina (Chris) Caruso will be the new editor of The International Journal of Plant Sciences beginning on Jan. 1, 2018. Chris is Associate Professor in the Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Guelph. Her research focuses on the mechanisms and causes of natural selection in wild plant populations. Chris brings a wealth of editorial experience to the journal; in addition to serving on the editorial board of IJPS since 2013, she has been on the editorial boards of OecologiaEvolutionary Ecology, and The American Naturalist

Chris is taking on the role previously held by Patrick Herendeen, who has been Editor-in-Chief of IJPS since 2013, and on the editorial board since 2008. Pat will be continuing his work as Senior Director of Systematics and Evolutionary Biology at the Chicago Botanic Garden, an as President for the International Association for Plant Taxonomy.

We are extraordinarily grateful to Pat for his exemplary work and commitment, and we welcome Chris to IJPS in this new role!
