The University of Guelph is a member of the Association of Public and Landgrant Universities and we encourage U of G community members to participate in the 2017 APLU Commission on International Initiatives Summer Meeting. The meeting will be hosted by the University of Alberta and the University of Calgary at the beautiful Delta Lodge at Kananaskis, in Kananskis, Alberta, Canada July 16-18, 2017. Our 2017 Summer Meeting theme is Cross Border Collaborations: Public Universities Addressing and Solving Global Challenges.

The Call for Proposals for the 2017 are also now open (please see attached document for more information). Complete proposals may be submitted using this form by 11:59 Eastern on January 18, 2017. We encourage proposals that profile and discuss collaborations in the areas of international research, experiential learning, international education, knowledge transfer, human and institutional capacity building and issues in the food-water-energy nexus (including but not limited to Climate Change, Energy Security, Sustainability, Food Security, Nutrition and Health).

Registration and a preliminary schedule for the 2017 CII Summer Meeting will be available in March 2017.
