Meet Cohort Seven of The Hub Incubator Program

As we reach the halfway point in the Hub programming for Cohort Seven, we are thrilled to see how far each team has come. It seems so recent that the clients were meeting each other and the Hub manager, John Lam. Over the course of these past weeks the clients have come to know John, each other, and each other’s products or services. They have all done incredibly well thus far and have had many successes, but let us take a moment to pause and profile our clients.

CBaSE at OCE Discovery 2017

CBaSE staff Erin Doherty and John Lam represented CBaSE at OCE Discovery 2017. OCE Discovery is an annual event where innovation leaders and partners meet to display the work they have produced in the past year. As an innovation incubator hub, CBaSE was there to further strengthen its connections and explore some of the projects that have been developed over the year.

Meet the Next Cohort of The Hub Incubator

This month CBaSE will welcome six new startups into our incubator program, The Hub. This will be the sixth cohort of The Hub and we are very excited to announce the companies that will be joining us!

From Tree to Glass: Windswept Orchard & Cider

Windswept Orchard and Cider provides hand-crafted, small batch ciders made with estate-grown and locally-sourced apples. By creating unique seasonal ciders, sourcing Georgian Bay apples, and using 'wild' apples, Windswept seeks to rejuvenate the lost orchards of the Meaford area.

As a new entrant to the booming Ontario Craft Cider market, Windswept Orchard and Cider was attracted to the CBaSE Business Consulting course because they wanted access to bright, enthusiastic business students who will help develop their startup business.
