Why did you choose UofG/Lang for your Commerce degree?
"I chose Lang for my Commerce degree because the school offered something different and unique. It is also a great base for me to work towards my CPA designation.
What additional experiences have you added to your degree?
"I hope to pursue my CPA upon graduating, while also moving into the field of assurance. By adding a minor in marketing to my accounting degree, I have given myself additional valuable complementary skills in marketing and communication, that will help open doors throughout my career."
How have these experiences helped you shape your career path?
"I’ve been involved in various organizations at U of G, including the Guelph Black Student Association (GBSA) and the CCC among some others. I have also been part of Lang Accounting Society's Crack the Case Competition. These experiences have helped me immensely because I’ve been able to connect with like-minded classmates, who share similar passions as I do"
Looking back on your time at Lang, how do you feel you have grown as a person?
"My experience at Lang and U of G has helped me grown as a person and has helped me become a more mature person. I've learned the importance of community and giving back, which will help me in all aspects of my life."
