Join us for an evening with Court Desautels as he shares his personal journey as a changemaker in the restaurant industry.

Court is the President of The Neighbourhood Group of Companies, which includes the Woolwich Arrow Pub, Borealis Grille & Bar and Miijidaa Cafe + Bistro, three of the top-rated restaurants in Guelph. His passion has been deeply rooted in hospitality since the age of 14 when he started working in the kitchens around Guelph and Toronto, which eventually took him to George Brown College where he received a diploma in Business Management. Court's work experience since then has included being the Event Coordinator for Sleeman Breweries, managing restaurants in Australia, and spinning vinyl at various clubs along the way.

Despite all of his hospitality experience, Court's true passion is to create the most sustainable restaurant group in Canada and help pave the way for how restaurants will do business for future generations to come. Guests will gain an understanding of corporate social responsibility through Court’s personal story and how even in the restaurant industry, a large organization can still strive for CSR without compromising their quality. When The Neighbourhood Group of Companies became B Corp certified, they became the largest certified restaurant company in the world.
