Global Account Manager, Steelcase, New York City. 

Luke joined Steelcase through their management trainee program in 2014 with a select group of graduating students from across North America. While gaining valuable career working experience in Toronto, Luke completed his MBA at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management; completing the program in 2019. Luke pairs this educational background with working experience at Steelcase to lead complex customer programs and projects on a regional, national, North American, and global basis. In his current role, Luke serves as the key relationship manager from Steelcase to a select group of global clients.

Through Luke’s engagement, Steelcase is a proud contributor to the Lang School, having partnered with former dean Dr. Julia Christensen Hughes to outfit the student spaces in Macdonald Hall with furniture and technology that encourages and enhances collaboration. Elsewhere on campus, Luke and Steelcase worked closely with the Gryphon Football Team to outfit their state of the art Football Pavilion with highly durable and collaborative furniture as well as the recently renovated John T. Powell building on campus. Having the ability to contribute back to the University of Guelph campus through Luke’s career has been one of his most enjoyable working experiences to date. 


Career Highlights

  • Relocated to New York City to join the Global Account Management team, serving as the key relationship manager from Steelcase to some of the world’s largest, leading organizations.
  • Facilitated learning and experiences focused on design thinking at the Rotman School of Management as an Executive of the Business Design Club.
  • Partnered with the Lang School of Business to create Student Spaces for collaboration in the Macdonald Hall renovation project; partnered with the Gryphon Football team to outfit their state of the art Pavilion with highly functional and durable solutions; supplier to the John. T Powell Building renovation.  
  • Helped an innovative science-based startup company advance its business as a consultant through the Rotman School of Management’s Creative Destruction Lab. 
  • Assisted a non-profit organization to advance their business through the University of Toronto’s University Consulting Group on a volunteer basis.
