Abstract: In this talk, specifically developed for graduate students, Dr. Gruman will share some thoughts on how to conceptualize and execute high-quality studies. With examples from his own research areas and incorporating recommendations from journal editors, he will highlight some of the common shortcomings of research in management and organizational psychology, and discuss general principles for designing research that matters and has a greater likelihood of getting published. The talk is intended to hasten the professional development of graduate students.
