September 20: DoB Professor Appointed Member of Editorial Advisory and Review Board

Fred Pries, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business, was recently appointed as a member of the Editorial Advisory and Review Board for Issues in Accounting Education from 2013 to 2015.

Issues in Accounting Education is one of the three primary publications of the American Accounting Association. The mission of the journal is to publish research, commentaries, instructional resources and book reviews that assist accounting faculty in teaching and that address important issues in accounting education.

Fred is also a Chartered Accountant and a former partner in one of Canada’s largest public accounting firms. He teaches primarily in the areas of accounting, management of technological innovation and managing entrepreneurial operations at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Fred’s research deals with how new technologies arising from university research are put into commercial use.
