September 6: Marketing Professor Educates Baltic Sea Cruisers

Dr. Brent McKenzie of the Department of Marketing and Consumer Studies was recently the featured lecturer on the ship Black Watch on a Baltic Cities cruise.  Brent, who is an expert on the Baltic Sea region, conducted public presentations on the people and food culture of the Baltic sea region; Soviet Dark tourism; and the history of Tallinna Kaubamaja, a leading Estonian department store.  

In addition to his lectures, as part of his research and teaching on Dark Tourism, Brent visited a Soviet era nuclear bunker in the former East Germany and the Monument to the Heroic Defenders of Leningrad, in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
