September 7: Department of Economics and Finance Ranked Top Five Percent by RePEc

According to rankings released by RePEc (Research Papers in Economics) in August 2012, the Department of Economics and Finance is among the top five percent of economic institutions worldwide. This ranking is based on 5858 institutions with 33,138 registered authors. View a list of economic institutions ranked in the top ten percent worldwide. 

The RePEc project is an attempt to index economic institutions, and to enhance the dissemination of research in Economics and related sciences. The heart of the project is a decentralized bibliographic database of working papers, journal articles, books, books chapters and software components. The collected data is then used in various services, and among the most visited pages of any RePEc service are its rankings. These rankings have proven to be extremely popular in the profession.
