Books on the Autism Spectrum

OAARSN first launched this important feature in July 2000. This first edition, including reviews and lists of books and other media, is still useful and may be reached at: http://www.ont-autism.uoguelph.ca/books.shtml

We now start a new series of notes and reviews of various resources. These will be highlighted in the OAARSN news bulletins, and links to reviews etc are listed below in reverse date order. Our region has a remarkable resource of books and other information materials about Autism Spectrum Disorders. The Kitchener Public Library, with funds given by Waterloo-Wellington Autism Services, established a special Autism Collection of books and other media in 2004. In early 2009, there are now more than 800 titles. Click here for more about how to use this resource, within the region and by inter-library loan.

Please click on this hot key for a live list of the titles of all the books, videos etc, in alphabetical order:
Search KPL Autism Collection

You can then use the Sort/Limit button at the top of the screen to narrow down to what you are really looking for – such as the author’s name. Or you can request the date order, so all the new items come to the top. Or you may limit by type of medium to find videos or DVDs.
