Eduardo: Reproduction is a critical component of profitability and sustainability of any livestock production system, so our group studies the reproductive problems faced
by the food animal industry with the objective to understand the biology of these problems and also to develop the solutions to these problems.

Eduardo: I believe the most exciting aspect for our research is the opportunity to understand the biological problem at the cellular level and translate that information to the development of practical applications that could be potentially adopted by several producers and benefit the food animal industry in general, so it is the combination [music fades in] of a basic science and applied research.
