Department of Animal Biosciences
Gregory: My core research focuses on the 
mechanisms that control reproduction in birds
and more specifically 
[Text and logo fade out]
I am working with chickens and turkeys understanding
how we can stimulate them to reproduce,
which is a cornerstone of the animal
production system.

Gregory: Now a lot of my 
research was very basic and very
scientifically-inclined but over the
last four years I've also taken a more
applied perspective and developed some new
products including some new lighting
to be used by the poultry industry.

Gregory: The most exciting part is when you come up with an hypothesis and then it turns out to be true.
This is the most exciting thing 
because this is where you go "I knew it. I knew it."  
But this doesn't happen all the time. 
Sometimes it's the opposite. Sometimes hypothesis are not true, but then that's also a good thing.

That means you have to go back to the drawing board.
