 Prof. Julang Li
Department of Animal Biosciences
Julang: There are two research areas in my laboratory.

The first one is in the field of reproduction.
We are particularly interested in

what are the major factors and mechanisms that make an oocyte competent.
We believe that answering this question is very important for improving fertility.
Our second research area is to work enhancing disease resistance using bio-engineering approach.

Julang: Very exciting aspect about our research is that they can potentially lead to application.
For instance, what we are trying to do is to identify and produce bio-active peptides, hoping to use them in the future as alternative to antibiotics. 
If we can be successful that could potentially help to adjust
