So we look at growth, the adult period and the geriatric period [University of Guelph logo and text fade out] and specifically are interested in nutrient requirements and how different ingredients are processed by the dog and the cat. And ultimately we hope that this helps owners make better decisions about the foods that they feed to their pets and it makes them happier about how they interact with their pet and ultimately will help to sustain or improve the human-animal bond and other family dynamics. 0:37 - 1:05 [Screen flashes to video of Prof. Kate Shoveller speaking on a blurred background of library book stacks] Kate: It's the data that makes me excited, but what makes me even more excited is when my graduate students come from trying to understand how to put that in the context of our global understanding about dog and cat nutrition and I see them move into a state of excitement over the data, and then I know not only have I produced data that can really help dogs and cats, but I'm starting to help others really understand how they can impact [Music fades in] and improve our knowledge base about dog and cat nutrition. 1:06 - 1:11 [Screen fades in to show OAC logo on a white background, red website link] Text: www.uoguelph.ca/oac [Screen fades to black]
