world\u2019s most ambitious cancer research grant.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Prof. Emma Allen-Vercoe, Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, is among 14 researchers from five countries on a research team looking to study connections between microbes in the body and cancer.<br \/>Her expertise in culturing gut microbes developed in her U\u00a0of\u00a0G lab \u2013 and its custom-designed \u201crobo-gut\u201d mimicking the workings of the large intestine \u2013 led the team\u2019s principal investigators to invite her to join the
