Lilian Cheung<\/strong>, BAS \u201973, is a lecturer and director of health promotion and communication in the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health\u2019s Department of Nutrition. She is the editorial director of a number of Harvard T.H. Chan websites, including The Nutrition Source, Obesity Prevention Source and Asian Diabetes Prevention Initiative. 1980s<\/h3>\n

John Fedorkow<\/strong>, B.Sc. (Agr.) \u201980, was named Niagara\u2019s Grape King. The owner of Fruithaven Farms in St. Davids will be the grape industry\u2019s official ambassador throughout 2020. Fedorkow started planting grapes on his fruit farm in 1999. He now grows eight varieties on 75 acres.<\/p>\n

Lynne Rusk<\/strong>, B.Sc.\u201989, went on to become a police officer. A shooting incident in 2005 left her with post-traumatic stress disorder. A certified traumatic stress specialist, she is the founder of Badge of Life Canada. \u201cWe are a peer-led, charitable volunteer organization committed to supporting police and corrections personnel who are dealing with psychological injuries diagnosed from service,\u201d said Rusk, speaking of the national online resource hub dedicated to promoting the welfare of active and retired municipal, provincial and First Nations police personnel diagnosed with an operational stress injury.<\/p>\n

\"Karen
Karen Farbridge<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Following her 11 years as mayor of the City of Guelph, Karen Farbridge<\/strong>, B.Sc., M.Sc. and PhD \u201989, established the consultancy firm Karen Farbridge & Associates. The company offers consulting services in the development of strategy, government relations and policy, community and stakeholder engagement and partnership development, particularly in environmental policy.<\/p>\n

\"Mike
Mike McMorris<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Livestock industry leader Mike McMorris<\/strong>, B.Sc. \u201983, M.Sc. \u201985, will be the new CEO of Livestock Research Innovation Corp. He holds a master\u2019s degree in animal breeding and genetics from U of G. McMorris began his career with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.<\/p>\n

\"Louise
Louise Hastie<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Louise Hastie<\/strong>, B.A.Sc. \u201988, recently earned a doctorate in education from the University of Glasgow, where she studied competency based training programs. She studied the nuclear power industry, specifically control room operators.<\/p>\n

2010s<\/h3>\n

Tulsidai Ramdass<\/strong>, B.Sc. \u201915, joined the staff of the stem cell transplant lab at Princess Margaret Hospital, part of the medical oncology and hematology department. She is dedicated to promoting a better quality of life for patients affected with all types of cancer.<\/p>\n

Brittny Robins<\/strong>, BA \u201910, is the founder of the skincare and cosmetics line Flawless by Friday and the force behind the Hudson\u2019s Bay Les Essentiels collection. Her philosophy is that beauty products can enhance how her customers feel about themselves.<\/p>\n

\"Josh
Josh Mandryk<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Josh Mandryk<\/strong>, BA \u201911, is an associate in the Toronto law firm Goldblatt Partners. He became a lawyer to fight for workplace justice and uses the law to help trade unions and workers strengthen their bargaining power and improve workplace standards. He has led a number of class action lawsuits. When he\u2019s not fighting cases, he battles in a boxing ring. He took up the sport in high school.<\/p>\n

Abeer Al-Hyari<\/strong>, PhD \u201919, is now a faculty member in the School of Engineering, Al-Balqa Applied University, Jordan.<\/p>\n

Joel Hansen<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Alana Gillespie<\/strong>, BAS \u201914, was featured in Chatelaine magazine: https:\/\/www. chatelaine.com\/living\/how-to-stay-calm-atwork\/.<\/p>\n

Joel Hansen<\/strong>, M.Sc. \u201919, is recognized as one of the most extreme eaters in Canada. The extremely fit fitness model has been known to devour 19 donairs in 55 minutes; an entire super-sized, 16-slice pizza; three kilos of burgers, fries and wings in 25 minutes; a dozen donuts; and more than 230 pieces of sushi.
