Dr. Ahmed Laamrani is an expert in remote sensing (RS) applications to soil in agricultural and forest landscapes. He has large experience in soil organic mapping, spatial modelling, and a solid foundation in the uses of RS and GIS for natural resources management which includes advanced academic and research training.
Dr. Laamrani’s research interests during the last five years sit at a crossroads between RS, GIS, drones and agricultural soil cover with a focus on developing solutions for agricultural best management practices. Currently, he has a faculty position with the Center for Remote Sensing Applications (CRSA) of the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Morocco; and an Adjunct Professor status in forest soil RS and GIS at the University of Quebec in Abitibi.
