Biography
Bowen Chan holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Toronto as well as Bachelors of Arts and Science from the University of British Columbia. He has interests in ethics, applied ethics, the history of ethics, and early modern philosophy. He is particularly interested in the diverse range of good and virtuous lives that are possible in a messy, non-ideal world. He has published on virtue and moral worth. He is also now researching the goods and bads of childhood and the significance of social supports.
