    Research Interests

Brad’s research centres on Canadian rural communities. Specifically, he is interested in community resiliency and further unpacking the rural context.

Brad’s PhD research is a mixed-methods endeavour which intends to identify the population currently visiting rural craft breweries and the holistic impact of rural craft breweries on multiple facets of their host environment including rural pride, youth retention, the support of local business, gentrification issues, and more. He is also utilizing the Community Capitals Framework to analyze the brewery’s impact empirically.
